My car is rarely seen on the road lately because of my bad coolant seals. I drove it the other day and I think that the clutch is slipping . It will rev up but take a second to "catch up or ingauge" as you will. Is that what a slipping clutch feels like ? I never actually had one go bad on me like that. I 've had them get shitty and not want to go in or out of gears. But never symptoms like this.

Thanks

Yep, good way to test is to go down the road in 3rd gear at appx. 3 rpm's and floor it. If it revs high and then lowers and then you feel the torque, then you've got a slipping clutch. <_<

Yes those are my symptoms.

No biggie really. I am pulling the motor soon anyway to rebuild and port so I'll just catch the clutch while I'm at it.

He was all puffy too. "hey Dave what happened man? I was all up on your bumper" I guess I had to have Blown coolant seals , a clogged stock cat and a slipping clutch for him to run up on me. If it makes him feel better.
