I have the OS Twin. I also had it in my MR2. I burn the **** out of it and

still looks new too. Granted the bearing went out on my 7, but that in my

opinion was because I was riding the clutch too much went I was breaking in the new motor.

I cant say which one is best, depends on how you drive, what feel you like. My OS almost feels like a stock one in my buddies car, but other clutches are like kicking a harley.

I just bought a ACT street/strip putting it in thursday....I guess I can tell you how it is later. Are you switching from the stock one?

apexkw 12-27-2002 09:51 PM

jason how much will it be for the os giken twin plate, and how much for the cusco twin plate? thanks for the info so far guys. please feel free to keep posting as i will consider everybody's opinion. joe flo to answer your question yes i am going from the stock clutch and flywheel to a new upgraded clutch. i dont think a street strip will work to well with my setup. on another note michel has had the extreme clutch and he is getting rid of it for a twin plate setup also. so i just kinda wanted to go straight to big clutch to avoid having to buy several clutches like michel has done. he has bought two clutches this year. i really like the os giken twin plate because of two reasons. the first being that it comes with a new flywheel, and second it changes the clutch from a pull to a push type. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif

OS doesnt come with a flywheel, unless you buy it that way.

If you get the Flywheel, you will get the CW free. As for the

price, that means you want to change to the push type? They

sell both, also so does CUSCO, which I believe is just a rebadged

EXEDY clutch, which is the same a MS and few others. I mostly like

that the OS overhaul kit is cheap and very easy to get.

I will hook up a price on here ASAP..

I have heard good things about a ACT too.... Dont get me wrong

it doesnt matter if I sell it or not. I just have had 5 years of OS, and

most the people I drive with have them too, so I only know what I

can see and feel as fact..

jason,

i have decided to go with the os giken twin plate clutch with a flywheel. i have heard that it is good to change it from a pull to a push type. so i would like that option as well. i cannot find anywhere to buy this clutch though, so can you help me out with a price? thanks alot jason.

anything that isn't centerforce is good. Those DF clutchs are POS. You chose the best one as far as I know of .The os giken twin plate clutch is truly awesome especially if you are in need a serious power levels.

apexkw 12-29-2002 10:15 PM
