Clutch And Pp Question

Im getting basically a act s/s replica clutch (just the clutch) would it be bad to run it with the stock PP and why??...Im jjust curious if I should wait to get the matching PP or if it would be ok...I plan on putting down over 350 at the wheels if thats important.

Actually there is three different discs for the HD pressure plate even though most "kits" will include a stock disc. There is a heay duty disc and a street/strip disc. It doesn't show on their website but it's in my brochure they slipped in my flywheel box.
I have no idea what you mean by "just the clutch" since that implies the complete kit. You can get a HD PP and a stock disc. Most people have that setup and assume they have the Street Strip instead.

I'd wait for the ACT PP. I recently put in an ACT SS and didn't notice any difference in the disc from stock. It's the PP that is upgraded with increased clamping force. It's alot of work getting that transmission out...why do it more than you have to? BTW, if you DO go with a stiffer PP, you might want to consider a new clutch fork while you at it. It's only about $65. My .02
