Zoom Zoom.

The car is now able to start https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png Now I just need to track down a few things, like why my instrument cluster isn't working (tach/odo/speedo) And purchase my pfc sometime this week as well.

Anyone here have any suggestions as to why the above mentioned aren't working correctly? The car was previously an auto, switched to a manual and I have a manual cluster but all the plugs looked like they went in correctly.

Oh yeah here's a video of it

oh, and im pretty sure the cluster was working before, if you've read any of my other posts you'll find that whoever had this car before hacked the living piss out of it.

might be best to call up malloy mazda and get a new wiring harness if you ever want this car to run right. If i remember correctly it's in the 600 dollar range for the main harness. You might want to look in to doing this...

the $600 harness just does the engine. the one that does the body is like $1500...

put in the automatic cluster and see if it works

Veritas 05-30-2005 11:15 AM

it's more than 600 if you aren't a club memeber(the racing club thing, can't remember the name)

and my engine harness is fine, it's my inside harness that's annoying the piss outta me.

Also, i don't have the cluster for the automatic :( I've only had the five speed one. Which still would make some sense as my car isn't an automatic anymore and these gauges must of worked at some point in time.

yea I know, I said the main harness not the whole harness setup but that is what they probably hacked up the most with the haltec right?

Veritas 05-30-2005 02:30 PM

cleared codes, need my MAP sensor now. The other thing has to deal with emissions, which i could care less for anyways but i'll figure out how to get around that code as well.
