whats this mystical "TII diff mod"? why would you do that if you have FD pumpkins laying around like you mentioned earlier.

the TII's have a MUCH stronger differential than the stock FD torsen. if you break an FD torsen YOU WILL BREAK ANOTHER ONE. there is no point in putting back another torsen to break it again............... either put in a TII diff or a cusco,kazz,re-amemiya https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Whats involved in installing a TII diff?. I assume the FD diff housing is retained so are you talking about just swapping the limited slip unit?. Is it all a bolt in affair or is some machining/fabrication involved?. Just to be a pain, why is the TII stronger? Thanks.

Ooops. I just read silver ninety thread about his new TII diff and all my questions were answered. Seems like an easy/cheap mod. I always thought torsons diffs were the ultimate but now I can see their downside if your loading them up hard.

yup clutch type is alot stronger. obviously an upgraded unit is better than a stock TII but for the money a stock TII unit is great ! i am running an re-amemiya lsd.... i love it thus far !
