Power steering is the only thing that might cause that. Or a bad connection but I doubt that. Does the car beep when you try to start it?

Well check your PS fluid level. I want to say it beeps when it is low but maybe not. Good place to start first!

8urvet what shape was the car in when you bought it? You have made alot of posts.

My guess is the alternator is going out, when you turn the wheel the power steering put more of load on the eng. Does it do this when anything else electrical is on? Also check the ground going to the alternator

What else electrical doesnt work? You might even have a bad battery. Most likely it is something simple. Bad ground or something.
