Take off the TB, it only takes a few minutes.

Then you have plenty of room.

Ha, I work with a Ford Senior Master Technician and when we got my car up on the lift for the first time and he took a look at it, one of the first things he said was "MY GOD CHANGING YOUR SPARK PLUG WIRES IS GOING TO BE A BITCH!!" But he did say it can be done with a lot of patience. I know that he's a "Ford" tech but this guy is amazing with all cars, and that was the first time I ever heard him complain about anything on any car, and he wasn't even working on it. Hey at least the spark plugs are a breeze!

Bobby is right, remove the throttle body and elbow and its alot easier.

It should only take someone of average monkey wrenching skill 30 min.

you dont even have to take out the TB.... just the elbow, and the coils are underneath the TB

if it took you that long to replace the wires.. it will take you the whole day to replace the spark plugs
