Well before I make a decision I need to get some more info on this "Border Burnout" that thing intrigues me!! Can't find it on any sites though.
well if you want this you better live somewhere with no emissions because it was said earlier it is a downpipe back exhaust which takes the place of the midpipe. highest performer would have to be the hks 4 inch racing TI but also it replaces the midpipe. you should just get a silencer if the noise bothers you.

i have the tanabe racing medallion and love how it sounds.

there is a exhaust sounds stickyed on the other forum in third gen archived I believe.

a guy who lives near me has the hks, it looks very ricey, has a fart can sound and is weak compared to n1s which are just very very insanely loud. i was parked next to him and when i stood by his car i could hear mine, but when i stood next to my car i could not hear his.

i use midpipe so when im taking a shower in the morning and my dad starts the car for me to warm up, it freakin shook my house every time. and this is from the driveway! i dont have a garage. thats why i have racing beat now. it flows maybe a few hp less than the n1s.

how about powertone? it is supposed to flow very well and has an amazing italian supercar sound to it. if there is proof, i might be getting that and get some welding...

Well I do have one benefit by working at a dealership. The techs that inspected my car last told me that they would pass my emissions (considering it's just a visual inspection and not a sniffer test ) even if I got a full exhaust system, not the most honest system but I'm not complaining. They just figured there would be no point in putting the stock pipes back on just to put a sticker on the car, and then put the aftermarket exhaust back on. So that isn't a problem for me. Can you get a silencer for ANY exhaust?? Even the JDM ones? Or are they only made for certain applications? If you can get them for any exhaust, do they fit in the piping or in the muffler? - Eww.

i have an hks carbonti and love it. its mellow...at least with the main cat in. i hope to find out how loud it gets with a midpipe this summer. as far as tapering and being restrictive, ive never seen it dynoed on an fd but i have seen it in dynos comparisons on supras and wrxs in turbo magazine and its right up there towards the top in making power.

and being hks its gorgeous
