Carbon parts for FD3S
#1
Hi, all you rotary afficionados.
Pardon me for asking a question, that has perhaps been asked before, but I am new to this forum.
As I am currently in the process of treating my beloved FD to an all-carbon diet, I've been trying to find a place that sells carbon fibre doors and doorcards for FD's. I've been told, that they should be available, but I haven't been succesful in locating a dealer. As for trunklid, bonnet and front-fenders... they're in the mail. Can't wait!
I hope that you are able to help me out. I live in denmark, and as there are only six FD's in the whole country, parts are hard to come by. Hence my eternal love for the internet!
Thanx in advance.

I'm pretty sure, seibon or that other company VIS...yeah I think I saw a set on their site a whiel ago but I dont see em now, why dont you contact them. I also knowa guy on RX7club.com was offering a set for 2k or something but the guy was a hardcore race car team owner invloved with Bathurst RX-7 or something of the sort. The doors were very professional, and everyone vouched for his great skill but no one could afford them at the time. Ask around on RX7club.com some one there will point you in the right direction.

Thanx, guys! I'll try the RX7Club.com. I'm pretty sure that neither Vis nor Selbon make'em.

I think the guys name is 'carbonman'. One of the guys in our club in NZ here just got some carbon doors. I'll ask around to see where he got them.

Thanks a million. I'm running an HKS T51-Kai turbo and various other HKS goodies on a 13B, prepared by Hurley Engineering with street ports and 3mm seals. It's putting out 500+ whp, so I'm reluctant to tweak the engine any further, as reliability will suffer. So if I want the car to go faster (and don't we all?!) weight-loss is the best trick.
Cool forum!
