auto has alot of advantages over manual in boosted situations, high stall torque converter and you leave on mad boost, thats how the supra left so quickly... it's just a matter of traction at that point.

I dunno, I like rotaries alot, but you can make CRAZY power with a supra for less money and less knowledge. There are some complete retards on the supra forums going very fast wondering what that hesitation was at the top of 3rd (detonating) when they crank the boost and go 11's... and they still arent broken. quite an amazing car, detonate like that on a rotary and you're gonna be building a new motor.

BTW, while on the subject of supras, a friend of mine had a nice TT hard top supra, 6 speed... red, very nice car, I was supposed to do valve seals for him but before we got around to doing that he had a bad wreck....

article

I'm going to avoid saying anything about the accident.... I think the pictures speak for themselves.

They towed the cars to a public works lot that is right behind my work, so I actually got more pictures of the damage...

supra wreck pics

....

drive safe guys

eh my cars are in pieces, not worth mentioning right now heh... I just know a bit about supras since my friend had one and myself and a coworker would help him work on it often... they took it to gingerman in MI to do some road course racing one weekend, it got it's *** handed to it by a ford focus svt *STOCK*. The focus was driven by an instructor... supra by my coworker... gingerman is a small technical course so the supra just wasnt up for it, outclassed by the focus (and instructors driving skill...). On a larger/faster track the supra would have shined though, or on the drag strip. I imagine an FD would have done well @ gingerman also.

I really hate drag racing actually.
