It was a ported engine on stock twins set up non sequentail.

It was his daily driven car. He drove it in DC traffic everyday from Maryland over to his work (PFS) in Manassas Va.

He never broke down on the 11 second engine either.

That only proves to me that its all in parts and tunning.

So I simply answer your question.

Yes you can build a reilable 11 sec RX7, and I want to add that you dont necessarily need anything other than stock turbos to do it.

There was a guy at rotorfest that was claiming 400 on stock engine and turbos.

Did anyone ever confirm that?

That must me https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683473.gif

Car did dyno 402rwh and 356/ 36xrwt on stock motor and twins (~50k miles)

With same setup it ran 11.56/11.59 @ 120.x and 122.12mph on Nittos drags.

Motor is now ported (~6k miles) and has gone 11.1 @ 122.9 on ET streets.

The stock twins finally let go https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/11.gif so I slapped on another set to complete the mission (10.999999999999....hehe).

I might dyno the car soon .....

It is my daily driver and racer !!!! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/BURNOUT.gif [/quote]

Hi JD,

how long did the stockers last, and what boost were you pushing them to? Also, how badly are they shot--did you open them up to check?

I PMed you on the other forum......please respond when you get a chance https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png.

Hi Rich...

Turbos lasted close to 60K miles.......they have seen my abuse since 35k.

Been running them up to 18psi-peak then they drop off at higher rpm( mainly now w/ported motor) for the last 15k miles. Before that 15-16 psi all day all night !!!

I replaced the front turbo before, since it showed the most shaft movement...but the problem was the rear......they started to smoke and even with restrictor they smoked a bit. Intercooler piping were all well lubricated https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/unsure.png

At least they lasted longer then my T-70 from Turbonetics on my old TurboII !!! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif
