okay just an update for future searches. i didnt find a updated FD fork. there is an FC fork. but i found out from Ray at Malloy mazda that they replaced the 93 fd's fork with an upgraded oem part. there are different numbers on the actual castings but Ray said that there is not a different number when ordering. about $70 for the fork from malloy. also i recommend that you get a new throwout bearing. cheap insurance so that you dont have to rip the tranny out again later. mine was completely destroyed

just thought i'd chime in and say i'm in the middle of replacing my clutch fork too. i think the cold weather got to it. driving like normal, then clutch pedal got hard and couldn't get it outta 2nd gear. looked in the access panel underneath and sure enough, she snapped. got mine from ray too

My clutch fork also broke this summer.
Thankfully I have a good mechanic that swapped in a new one for $300 CAD total
I too rebuilt the slave cylinder, master cylinder, added a stainless steel braided clutch line.
At least, everything works really well now.

i finally got my new one in. the pieces were slightly different. the new one looked a tad beefier and had different numbers on it. wasn't too bad to get in. good thing my girlfriend doesn't mind helping me under the car and doesn't mind gettin cussed at when she doesn't push the tranny the right direction! lol

Over a period of several months I did:
Clutch master cylinder
Broken fork
Clutch slave cylinder
Split hose
It's a good thing my mechanic is not far away & the motoring association has free towing for the first few kilometers. It got towed 3 times.

yup they are prone to breaking on the lower dowel pin area. my new fork also looked bigger and the tabs where it slides into the throw out bearing are longer. new numbers on the casting also. 77 - something..lol but the car drives great now. the feed slave i got seems to make it easier to shift now.
amanda i replaced everything at once.. figured if one part was bad the rest was going bad also.

its just oneof the things to add to the list of things to replace every time the trany is out of the car. for the lousy $75 it cost for new one, its well woth it IMO to just replace it.
The feel of my old cluth fork compared to knew new one was crazy.. the old felt soft.. maybe im smoking crack..
