BROKE MY TRANNY AGAIN OH YEAH!!!
#12
Can I suggest something MUCH cheaper to try first??? Pull apart your trans and replace all the parts that need replacing then send every bit of it including the case to have cryo treated. I REALLY wanted to do this with my trans but was out of money since I was doing the trans, engine, and turbos all at once. I wanted to send some engine internals off as well but anyway when I found out the turbos were shot that was the end of the cryo talk lol
The reason dragsters and such use cryo is it removes most of the flex from the parts which causes most of the damage. In a dragsters engine they bust the crank all the time (or did in the early 90's) then sent the crank to have treated and it lasted a little longer but not much. Then they sent the engine block to have treated and that changed everything. What happens is the block flexes and since the crank is connected to the block at both ends it snaps the crank. Cryo cut about 80% of the flex out and they went from replacing the cranks after every event due to snapping them to replacing them after they are just worn out lol
Anyway, this is a lot of typeing and i dont know why I got off on all this but I think you should send your entire trans off for treating and spend about $450. You know if will at least be much better than stock and about $5500-$6500 cheaper than a aftermarket replacement, and quite possibally just as good!!!!
You'd be a pioneer!!!!!
Just throwing in my .02 as a option
