Which Brake Pads
#1
Ok i have slotted/drilled rotors, stock size, w/ stock calipers. I am running Hawk HPS, and i don't get bit until their really warm, and when they are hot, they are faded/greasy/gone.
Needless to say i found this out when i needed brakes the most and hopped a curb.
I even took the pads off, scuffed them and put them back on. Same issue. The tech guy at Hawk was like "duh i dunno".
So what do you guys like to run for pads.

I've had pretty good luck with Porterfield R4S on the street. I've only gotten some fade going really fast DOWN mountain roads.
On the track I use the Porterfield R4 pads. These are fine at tracks that aren't hard on brakes. But then I went to Laguna Seca and torched the ENTIRE pad in 50 minutes of lapping. Needless to say the stock brakes don't cut it as a track that is hard on brakes. For heavy track use your need a larger front rotor at least.
