Zip ties wouldn't hold braided line on, it doesn't flex enough.





If you can find hose ends for $4 please share! Each end of the hose would cost $6 - $8 with straight hose ends plus $5 for the fitting attached to the manifold.





I priced out doing my wastegates and BOV and it was going to be around $300, and I don't have nearly as many hoses as you!



BTW, if you buy the silver vacuum hose kit from Silicon Hose Techniques it looks like what you are trying to achieve.

You'd be crazy to do the whole sequential system in AN/steel braided line. That's spending $1000+ when you could have put that money to something else.

um...whats the point



vac lines transfer air...you dont need something like s/s braided lines to do that....



if you want to waste ur money blingin ur engine out whatever, but thats just pointless

Pointless? Not pointless at all. Some lines are VERY important(the line that opens up your wastegate). I've had one pop off once(I boosted 1.6 on a 62-1)...not cool. I zip tied it down(zip tie heated up, became brittle, fell off)...so I went to steel braided line. No problems since.



It is pointless however to do ALL the lines...money that could have been spent on other things.

hmm, so as a new FD owner, which hoses would you recommend going to ss braided?? the previous owner had gonna non-seq already.

well, in your circumstance, you can't really do it the way I did it because I did all 1/8 npt to -4AN fittings etc. For the stock twins...just some zip ties I guess

personally i would save the money to do the fuel system, coolant lines, and the wastegate in braided. it would still add some bling enough for me at least. hey if you have all that money to spend and you want it do it.
