i think that is the purple one and the type are is the bigger silver one.

both are loud. the type r flows more. for twin turbo car get the type s

I have a type r and under alot of boost it is pretty loud. Sound sweet though. The type s is better suited for stock twins. Just stay away from apexi and you should be fine. I've seen several leak and fail.

Thanks for the info Silver93t, so Type S is the quiet one to get.



Seems to me Apexi can't make anything good these days (except for PFC), both their BOV and GT wastegate all have problems. What a shame for such a big name.....

i have had an apex BOV for 2 years now, no porblems. i have not had any leaking from it, nor have i had to disassemble it and oil the shaft.....



the greddy type-S bov's are notorious for blowing the spring gasket area and leaking at upwards of 1 bar....





my .o2cents....



i still think that the HKS ssqv is the sweetest one around....i am sorry that i let mine go....



also....the above comment about the KKK and the german car BOV's is true....they are great and quiet....especially an OEM 944 model....
