Boost above 6.5k
#1
I've only had my car a month or two but the boost seems to fall off past 6.5k.
Its got about 2000 miles on a new rebuild with a rebuilt sequential turbo pack with warranty (my plan B)
Now the boost is perfect up to 6.5k ie 0.8bar then 0.6 at crossover then back to 0.8 but tails off with a note change on the engine after 6.5k to about 0.6 to redline
The note change sounds like a vibration of some sort ?
Now this may be normal but i was under the impression it should pull hard @ 0.8bar till red line
The car is a 1995 Bathurst type R2 with twin oil coolers totally stock except a HKS Racing suction kit with 2 brand new HKS elements
Any ideas guys let me know
Neil

could be a boost leak check al clamps and replace as necessary i had that problem on my 88 turbo convert we would loose boost as boost climbed and could not figure it out till car was put on a dyno and we inspected it as it ran and heard the leek at the intercooler inlet
