did you check compression yet?

no didn't check the compression yet. But it won't crank anymore..heh. its dead.. #2 rotor..



I don't really know how the injector clip popped off, but i guess it had to do with the fact that my wiring harness is like 10300miles old and the things that "lock" the clip in must have been weak/broken and allowed the engine to rattle it off or whatever. I had like 3-4 pulls in it and the last one it did it. So i mean, the clip was on for a long time.. just decided to pop itself off.



So now i'm selling everything and going the V8 route. Glad to see that people here aren't so ignorant about it. I'm a diehard rotard and all but i've had the seq system, had ported nonseq, had a T78.. so now its time for something else new i guess.



I'll let you guys know what else becomes of it all. Thanks again.

That problem has scared me. I plan on soldering in some of those volvo style injector clips. I already put good condition clips on my e6k harness, but for extra insurance I plan on getting those from summit brand new. Everyone should put new clips on their cars.

well guess what.... its still alive... seems that after a good sitting its decided to somehow repair itself.. we've kinda got an idea as to why it is still alive and making perfect compression..



When the injector popped off, it was like hitting fuel cut, but the 2ndary injector would still be pulsing.. so we aren't totally sure why yet... but it wouldn't crank after i had put the injector clip back on it the first time after i brought it home. I was cranking it up today to see if i could get it on the trailer with 1 rotor.. and WAHLAH it cranks right up.. i was stunned.... and i drove it around. Then did a compression test. Seems that its ok... and why i don't know.. maybe its a Bday present from the Rotary Gods. Since i turn 22 on monday...



kind of a relief.. though i was ready to do the V8 swap. But if it ever happens to blow.. i think i'll still do it. Now i get to buy some JICs..

you lucky ***. thats wierd it didnt start right up the first time though...maybe it threw a code and it just reset its self. but anyways thats sweet that it works again!!!!
