ok so i'm deciding if i should take it out when i put in a full exhaust...my question is what are the advantages and disadvantages to it? thanks
|
the advanteges:
saves the $1000 pump for later frees up that 6sqin of space under the hood the disadvantages: it confuses the stock ecu, so the car will idle like poop belt contact area on the water pump goes way down, you need the greddy water pump pulley and the special wierd belt |
Just up the idle like i did https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png imo the good outweighs the bad
|
Bad there is bad ??????
|
Only if you care about emissions. If I cared about emissions I wouldn't have gotten a 7.
(Actually, it's still going to polute the same..) |
Also if you're running the stock cat you'll probably clog it? i think?

Is this the case just with the "stock cat"? I've got a "Hi-flo" cat and I was told to keep the pump or risk clogging it too.
