Bad News: Wrecked My Fd...ice Storms Blow
#1
We had an bad ice storm... On Friday I was on the way to get my door locks and antena fixed.. there was no ice on the roads at the time.. then around this sharp curve I hit the gas a little too much and got sideways.. I couldn't turn it back in time.. before I hit the bank (which is like 5 foot tall) my friend behind me said at least 2 maybe 3 tires came off the ground ..I got spun around and kept sliding.. almost got it completed stopped on the other side of the road.. but it kept going.. there's about a 15 foot drop.. and a old run down building over eye level to the road (which is about 3-4 foot away form the road) ..my front right end caught the brick wall.. tearing most of the wall down.. my car luckily got stuck with my right front end on the wall and my back left tire still on the road. I wanted to cry.. The main damage I can see on the car is my front end needs replacing.. left pop-up light.. a peice of my side skirt is messed up and my rear end may be scratched, since the wrecker dude had to pull me out.. and other scratches.. the hoods a little messed up.. I don't believe there is any engine damage.. Since I've gotta get a new front end now.. I might as well get one that I want. I'm still planning on getting a fmic and bigger radiator.. so I guess I should get a front end with a bigger mouth (so it will help cool **** off better) does anyone have any suggestions?? I like the 99 spec front end.. but don't know if that would be much better than the 93 stock one. Hopefully the insurance company will be nice to me.. thanks alot for the input.
I've only owned my car 2 weeks today..

I like the Pettit 99 front replica. It doesn't have the plate and it's only like $600.
The advantage really is only the larger openings. Also it looks way meaner.
I am sorry to hear about your accident.
I totaled my fisrt Fd on Ice 6 months after I bought it.
I don't drive my current one unless the roads are DRY!
Watch for temps close to frezzing also. The road has little crap all over it that can crystalize and cause problems.
Good luck with Insurance..
