Back From The Dyno...
#1
got back from the dyno earlier. I just installed my power FC and my A/F ratio looks good but I hit fuel cut just after the transition 4500 rpm, I need to get a boost controller...cause it just wants to keep creeping.
Also my oil pressure guage rises and falls with the RPM...I know this isnt supposed to happen...whats wrong??

Secondly, you can get a cheap manual boost controller from turbosmart.com.au that will work great at keeping your boost from creeping and wont break the bank doing it. I believ that a gated manual valve is around $120 shipped
Finally, If your hitting fuel cut you need to set the value in the PFC. You should not be hitting any fuel cuts at 4500 rpm.
I have never owned a pfc so I cannot tell you how to do that with that particular ecu.

heh, my bad about the oil pressure...I have asked that before but didnt get anything helpful...so I thought...while I was thinking about it to include it in my post.
my number was 200.4 HP and 230.3 tq @4500 RPM...this was the farthest I could get.
funny thing about it was that I could go all the way if I wasnt WOT...like 60-80% throttle worked great...I think it was fual cut...car jerked and I let off.
I think...the PFC cuts fuel if you overboost by .25 bar over the target level...?...
also, will a needle/bleeder valve work. I already have one of those...but dont have it on the car right now.

Sean I can make you a manual ball and spring controller for 20 bucks shipped. Parts cost me 12.
Works real well. Shoots to the desired boost and holds strong. i think you told me your wastegate is ported is that right? If not you are still gonna get creep no matter what
oh and dont listen to fd3boost hes prob drunk
oil pressure should be ~30 driving around easy and go to ~90 at wot and boost
I believe or something close I dont have time to look down at it cause I have to shift like every 1 second

snook: Ive got a bleeder valve on there right now...and its working great. I ran an 8.507 @ 83.53 MPH last sunday on bald street tires.
silver ninety three: I know the menu, what does the duty cycle affect?
Thanks,
Sean

The duty cycle is actually what controls the boost. The boost pressure setting is for reference and over boost fuel cut purposes only. Turn the duty cycle down, the boost goes down, turn the duty cycle up, the boost goes up.
