Yeah... I figured this is one of the things I'll eventually need to learn to do. I'm going to tackle the feed line to my turbo. Is there an easy way to do this? The line SURE seems to be a tight fit (And it should be)... Gimme you secrets dammit!

Keith, Dave, SOMEBODY, I need ya man! Pointers, tips, BEER, anything!! LOL

Thanks in advance!

it's easy!

Put electrical tape on the end you're going to put the fitting on and cut if with a cut off saw. Remove the tape and put the lower portion of the fitting on. You will have a hard time with -4 size hoses, but -6 and above is cake to get on. Once you get the lower portion on, spray the inside with WD-40 and put the remainder of the fitting on. Screw them down together. Spray brake cleaner/compressed air down the line to clean it out.

Done!

Sweet. I'm working with a -4 so maybe that's why it's a little hard.. It seems like it doesn't wanna go past the "lip"... though I haven't really TRIED. thanks for the input! I'll get to it sometime this week if I'm lucky!

no to disagree with anyone, but electric tape SUCKS *** for this job. two words STRAPPING TAPE. i have never recieved SS line in bulk that had electric tape on the ends. LOL!! i bet there is a reason for that. and i personaly find -6 to be the bigest PITA, -4, -8, -10, and even -12 are all easier than the -6 lines for some reason.

if you make a clean cut and dont fray the ends, no need to lube anything up. i never use it. but you can to make it easier in the second step as Jspec said...

The hose I bought came with strapping tape where it was cut. That's what I'll use, just cause it looks like lots of other people use it... Must work!
