However, the pipe, shown here blocks that area.

Thanks Pete. Would you happen to have any pictures of this invention of yours?

here is a picture, excuse the dirty engine bay. I still have one of the APEXi filters on my car, because the shop that carried the filters only had 1 k&N.. lol and i haven't yet gone back up there to get another. Essentially, i took the filter i bought to Home Depot and looked around in the plumbing section. There aren't any PVC pipes that are the right diameter, but they had some nice light aluminum pipes. The pipes however were VERY long.. like 10 ft long pipes, and i would have to have someone cut the pipe to get the 1/2ft. pipe or so i needed. Luckily i found one of the scrap pipes from a previous cut that was perfect. I used regular hose clamps to put the filter on, and what you see is essentially like an ntech kit without the shield. not much to it.

this guy got his apexi intake to work, but he had to cut his intake piping to do it, and used god knows what you re-insert his filter adapters. looks like silicone couplings and some aluminum pipe. i'd just sell the intake and go with the k&ns. all works the same.

nah i don't, i just went into the shop and looked for the smallest rectangular box, pulled the filter out, and it looked about right. (i have weird luck btw). I lost the box, which contained some very important nuts and bolts, so i have to find it, if i do, i'll letyou know the part #. You can also call up NTech and ask them what the part # is on their kit, just say you are needing replacement filters.

The apexis will work...there are several people who have made them fit with the Greddy FMIC...however, what you have to do to make it fit is a bit ghetto. I decided to go with the Greddy Airinx intake cuz

1. They came with aluminum pipes to replace the stock accordian pipes

2. I didn't want anything ghetto in my FD

3. I just didn't want to fabricate anything.

I think they are just as good or better than the Apexis...The turbo spooling is a lot louder too
