As I was putting my motor back toether I noticed that my Apexi exhaust manifold was cracking around the welds after only 30k miles. Is this a common problem with aftermarket manifolds? I'm going to try and get this welded but if it doesn't hold I'll be looking for another manifold. Are exhaust manifolds interchangable between turbos or do I have to buy another Apexi manifold. If not, does anybody recomment one manifold over another?

Its common on unbraced 304SS manifolds. Those units aren't that thick of material either if I recall. Also they don't weld the flanges inside and out. Only inside from what I remember.



I am not sure if there is more than one apexi manifold for the FD, the unit I last worked on was a T2 flange. You should just get a new turbo manifold to accomodate a full T4...
