I was wondering if anyone is running Porterfield pads and how you like them.

If you are running them do you remember which model your running? I'm running the R4-E

I don't have them on my FD... yet

I have them on my Miata which sees a lot of track time and I love them.

So your running the R4E pads on the Miata or are they the R4 or R4S pads??? Do you remember for sure? If they are in fact the R4E pads do you have a prob with them squeeling real bad when cold? How do they stop when cold? I just got a set but my car is a daily driver and now I'm not so sure I should run these pads. I'm looking for a good opinion before I install them so I might actually be able to get some of my money for them since they are still new in box.

I have some R4S on my 323 GTX. I like them really well, but they do squeel a bit.

I have the R4S on my Miata. I don't have any squeal problems but some of my friends have. I always replace all my clips and shims when I do a brake job and use synthetic brake grease in the proper places. I also use porterfields break in techinique which helps.

Yes, if they are really cold the first few stops can be a bit hard but they warm up really fast.
