ok its been done since yesterday. i have driven it just a little, prob 30-40 miles. It seems to be doing fine. i dont really notice any difference. i did put in some different trans fluid though and it works really well. its pennzoil dexron III something and its supposed to protect against shudder. i runs so much smoother now.

I would'nt think you would want to do this on a stock ecu because if you do then how does the ecu know how much fuel to add or remove? If you do this then the ecu then no longer know if the car is running rich or lean. If you unplug it then it seems like it will throw a cel, maybe not right away but as soon as the ecu finds there is no o2 sensor it will. also if you leave it plugged in and just leave it hanging then the ecu will think it is running lean therefore richening the mixture. if this is what you want to accomplish then why not just trick the intake temp sensor to make the car think it is cold. Ryan I have never thought you had any bad ideas before, But this one I would have to say would go on the list. The car needs the o2 sensor to tune itself so to speak. I know the factory puts a lot of stuff in our cars that is not needed but the o2 sensor is not one of those parts. If you are going to unplug the o2 sensor then just tell everyone that has an air/fuel meter to take it out also. I mean if the ecu does not need to know how rich or lean the car is running then why should the driver. just my .02
