Ok I know there have been a lot of people asking about radiator covers for their FDs, especially those of us with FMIC’s and relocated radiators. I’ve seen a couple of aluminum ones custom made for about 200 buxs, and I think there are a few people here who also make them as well. But what would you guys think about a Carbon Fiber one for $130 buxs shipped anywhere in the US? Here’s a pic:

Its made of 3 layers of CF so its plenty strong, lightweight, and has a nice clear coat to it as well. I think it’s a cheaper and nicer alternative to aluminum ones. Since they get dirty smudge often. People with FMIC’s, SMIC’s, and people with heating problems will benefit greatly with this product. So if anyone is interested post up so we can see what the demand is like or if your ready to get one PM Me or email Mazdaspeed7 at " carbonfiber@fc3s.org " for more details. Or if you are ready to get one of the few that were made as prototypes you can go here:

http://www.fc3s.org/cf.html

P.S. Make sure to include your forum name as well if you order, so we know who you are. There are also ones for FC owners as well.

Looks pretty nice Crashunit. How much for the couch in the background though

But seriously, it's a good idea. Of course, it won't work for some of us with "weird" intercoolers(like my FEED fmic...try finding one of those in the U.S. ) or for the some who custom fabricated one. B)

There's an update on this right now where if you order it within this week, we can get it out to you for $100 shipped. But its only for this week. I have a full post on this on another forum, but its down at the moment, so once it gets back up I'll post it so you can get the info on how to order it. BUt if you want to get it right away, just email carbonfiber@fc3s.org for more details.

As written by Adam (Mazdaspeed7 form the rx7forum):

how about this. I have a template, but I dont know what IC its for. So I can just make that, but leave the back uncut. It will be straight across, even with the left part in the pic , and you can trim it to fit your needs. The cf is very easy to trim. You can cut it with a hacksaw, dremel tool, etc. Anything(within reason) that cuts plastic will cut cf. And sanding or filing the edge leaves it nice and smooth.

Now the deal part. The above piece, Ill sell for $100 shipped* for one week only, starting tonight. Effective 9-25-02, the price will be $120 shipped*

* In the continental US. For canada, add $10 for the extra shipping charges. For anywhere else, email me and Ill give you a quote.

I prefer paypal at carbonfiber@fc3s.org Make sure you include your full mailing address and "for 3rd gen cooling panel" in the email so I can keep orders straight. You can also send me a money order. Email me and Ill give you my address.

This is on a first come, first serve basis. Also, I am space limited to producing 2 panels a day. So Ill give individual quotes as to how long it will take me to ship out your panel in the reply after recieving payment.

Theres 2 options, you can seem the in the pic.

One more thing, I wanna see LOTS of pics of them installed on your cars after you recieve them. Again, make sure you include your full mailing address, as well as "3rd gen cooling panel" and whether you want option 1 or 2.

Oops. I forgot to mention dont use the paypal buttons on my cf page. Paypal me directly at carbonfiber@fc3s.org for $100, and include which option you want, and what year its for. The $100 deal is effective until next wed, 9-25-02.

If you have any questions, or want to order, email me at carbonfiber@fc3s.org
