I need to get my airpump and alternator off, but there seems to be something holding them onto the points that they hinge at.
What is this holding them and how do i release it? Cheers |
Air pump has two bolts and the alternator has the one bolt and the tensioner mo mo holding it on.
|
sorry, i should mention that ive removed all the bolts.
Both of them "hinge" around one bolt and have the other bolt that holds them in place. The hinge is holding them, i cannot see how to get them off - looks like there is a metal bar in the hole but i cant work out how to get them out. |
alternator has the 3 bolts, IIRC. tensioner, hook and the hinge. if all are out, you can gently pry the alternator out of the hinge area. dont loose the spacer.

three bolts.. 2 hoses and belt for the air pump..
|
There is a compression fitting in one of the attaching flanges for each device.
You just have to use a litle muscle that 's all to pull or pry it off. Afterwards drive the fitting outwards to lossen it before reinstalling. This must be your first car!!!!! |
for the alternator... there is a long bolt that you should pull out and just move hte alternator back and forth til you get the thing off
