Keep in mind that Alcohol burning motors are typically stripped and rebuilt every couple of runs...
I think it would be cool to have a "hybrid" system with 2 fuel cells (one for alcohol and one for gas), then just flip a switch and go!! The advantage of Alcohol lies in its "octane." It's very slow burning and produces a very hot combustion.

Alcohol dries out rubber seals, doesnt seem like a good thing unless you can tear down and rebuild frequently.
