There is no knowledge base for the AEM unit. Nobody tunes them yet. It doesent really matter if it is a better unit, because if you cant tune it yourself you may be out of luck anyways. I would go haltech or PFC over aem for that reason.

I've been told by people who know nothing about the Pwer FC that the AEM EMS is the best thing that ever happened!
On the flip side of that I met a guy who had a twin turbo Supra & couldn't get his car to even idle with the AEM. Ended up having to ship it to get it dyno tuned. Then he blew the almighty bullet proof 2JZ a few months later.
That's enough to keep me away from them. In defense of the AEM, it was setup to run open loop ignition, & closed loop Wide band O2 with an FJO. Supras are known to do a LOT of timing retard with the stock ECU, so running similar to stock mapping with out knock sensor feedback may have been the cause of that blown motor.

AEM is a nice system. Has WAY more features than most management systems ie Tec 3, Haltech, and so on. We have tuned a 60-1 @14psi 390Rwhp RX-7. It also controls OMP,Idle speed motor and has soooooo many other options like Auto trans control cool stuff like that.
