Ok here is the deal.

I bought a linelock kit for my car. I am going to install it soon and cannot decide if i want to keep the ABS or not.

Having said that, I cannot recall if i have ever even locked up the ABS. I have alot of tire under the front and rear of the car, and dont like to drive when it is rainy out.

The car will be putting out some serious horsepower and will be driven sparingly on the street. Chances are I will not be driving it in adverse weather conditions.

So, for thoes of you without ABS, was it worth the removal? It would really make things easier to work on in the engine bay. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/happy.png Or, do you wish you had it back?

took my abs out. most annoying thing was the proportioning valve.....to get it set correctly.....

Yeah I have been reading up on the valve, and how it can be a pain in the ass. This is basically the only thing stopping me.

good article (they seem to go with the "if it aint broken..." theory)

wtf for? you just have some time on your hands? no other probs you need to fix. is it a track car? if not why get rid of a good safety feature that works?

FD3S DRIFT 12-23-2004 11:51 AM

ive locked my abs up once in dry conditions and a couple times in the wet seems kinda worthless if it doesnt work.. go for it man. how often are you gonna drive this thing on the street anyway?

FD3S DRIFT 12-23-2004 11:53 AM

tampafd has a good point if you are going to daily it keep it. but i didnt think you were going to

The car is going to make 650 easily, jerico 4 speed tranny with a doublextreme ACT clutch and sintered iron disc....yeah its not exactly DD material https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/happy.png

It would make the linelock install way easier, and not to mention the space I gain/weight I remove. I think the ABS pump and **** is like 35 lbs!

P'cola FD 12-23-2004 09:23 PM

If you're running on larger than stock wheels, then yes.
