when im cruising in 4th or 5th and i let off the gas there is a knock or a clank. it does the same thing if you get back on the gas. i dont think i can describe it any better than that. it feels like its coming from the rear but i guess it may be anywhere in there. my thoughts are tranny mount or maybe dif mount.

let me add that there is only one clank when getting off the gas and one when getting back on it. it sounds like something is loose, or that there is play or slack in something that there shouldnt be play or slack in

yah drive shaft. also maybe tighten the bolts between the diff and the axle housing, they loosen up
