Damn, I have the same EXACT problem. My abs light is on and the fronts will lock up. It just happened one day, I've checked all the fuses and also the brake fluid, its all ok.

Anyone know of anything common that goes wrong that would kill the abs to both front wheels at the same time?

the abs light works like the ce light. since nobody know how the abs system works is to reset it and see if it comes back. step two would be to pull the fuses and the 2 relays and make sure the connextions good. step three would be to pull the code and see whats bad.

note - if the abs light is on the abs system will turn off, so you will have no abs when the light is on
