its $$$ for any race clutch. i spent $700 on this ACT setup and it doesn't work. if anything i'm gonna break my $2000 tranny. at this rate i'm better off spending $1500 on a real race clutch and not killing the trans

What type of ACT pressure plate are you using? What exactly is the problem with it? Thanks-

act extreme pressure plate and act sintered iron full face non sprung disk. it won't disengage at high rpm on fast/power shifts. its a full race unit. i had a 4 puck and 6 puck before and never had a problem like this

I agree. I have the OS in my GT-R, and a lot of the guys here in Japan have them. good clutch feel (heavy) and they are rebuildable. HKS are extremely noisy, not sure why but it seems they have a little more play in the plates to get them to jingle as loud as they do. The HKS units are really grabby too when hot. Not exactly fun to drive in traffic (or a staging lane)

I've always used ACT and haven't ever had a problem.. then again I never had high output cars or a shift speed worth talking about.
