Just found a 95 silver R2 with 67K. Original owner, original engine, just put HKS blow off valve and everything are stock. What kind of price would you guys think is fair? Besides that, what is the life span for the engine that already has 67K miles?

Seems kind of a lot especially with the engine being "high miles".

Yea the engine most likey will need coolant seals soon. Get him down to 16 and your looking good.

haha I consider high miles in the 6 digits...

my 2.3 has high mileage! 130,xxx... still going strong!

But yeah get him down to 15-16 and it will be looking better!

Thanks for everybody opinions.

Besides the coolant seal, what other things I need to take attention soon for a 67K miles RX7. Any sight to find out any potential problems? By the way, how to do a compression test and what compression should I be looking at to determine the engine is still in good shape.

I am sure the owner doesn't want to spend money to maintain the car so he is trying to sell it before major problems appear.

Well actually since that is one of the rarest RX7's made (maybe THE rarest made) I'd say its worth every penny. The only prob is if your going to drive it everyday the motor prob isnt going to last past 80K, maybe it will if you keep it pretty much stock like it is.

I know a guy here with 120K on the original motor....thats the most I've ever heard of but I think its its finally died just the other day.

If its in mint shape its worth more than that!!!!
