second, the article has all kind of wrong info...starting with the first sentance saying the RX7 hasnt been produced in over a decade. Looks like a bunch of BS if you ask me



oh and BTW - I dont like the pic and hope that the 4th gen doesnt end up looking like that.

the rx7 was always supposed to be something different, but mazda seems to have designed it after the common status quos of today. i don't think it deserves the "7" title. should be called the RX9 or something.

i wouldn't worry about it.....if it is going to follow the path of the 7 it will probably weigh in at around 2800lbs, and with an output over 280hp i'm betting on mid 13's.



also we have to remember that is an artists rendering of the possible design....with some changes to the fenders and quarter panels i'm sure it will be hot as hell. it's just a matter of seeing where the design goes

 

lol @ srce, don't shoot! I'm only suggesting if mazda wants to bring the RX-7 back.. (as a 4th gen or whatever..) They should bring it back! not just some copy cat of the RX-8.. I mean, take a look at the RX-8 and then look at the RX-7(FD).. personally I'd take the RX-7 anyday.. body style anyways.. that's just me though..
