this will make my question easier... the 93 rx7 has 3mm seals, street port, dp, midpipe, exhaust, pulleys, clutch, my question is can i leave the stock ecu or do i need an aftermarket? im just going to run stock boost.. stock boost is 10psi right? or whats the most boost i can run on a stcok ecu with that stuff done? or should i onlt run stock boost with stock ecu?

Ok, first of all... GET AN ECU!!!! Running a full exhaust is going to cause your boost to spike all over the place unless you have a ported wastegate... you obvoiusly don't have the fuel to compensate for a 13-14psi spike, so you might go pop... Yes, stock boost is 10 lbs. You should look into at least a Petit unlimited ECU, or a programmable ECU.

Did you buy the car like this? If I were you, I would look into a Hi-flo cat.. Unless you can control that boost!

Do you have a boost gauge? If so, what does it read?

While we're on this... Was I right by saying that he won't be able to control the boost effectively with out a ported wastegate? Or is there a boost controller capable of doing this?

he will not be able to. it will spike alot and run 12-15. even with ported wastegate you can't really get boost under 12psi........... boost controller will only go as low as the wastegate allows. the stock twins wastegate is so small even when ported !

Gotcha... Thanks! I guess I'll be keeping the hi-flo cat on there! Or go Non-seq....

What do people do when they get M2 or B&R upgrades?
