I've had 3 Realizations (2 are due to encounters) that made me love my 3rd Gen even more, I'll go from least to most impressive. I highly recommend you do these three for maximum satisfaction out of your FD:

1. Drive a Slow Daily Driver-

My 91 5spd Integra was down for a little bit. During this time, I drove the FD more than usual and had obviously more seat time in my fast car then my sloth daily driver. Now that my Integra is back up and running, it's great for that smooth, decent, 35mpg drive to work in traffic and alongside the country folk who don't know how to drive....but when you come home from a long day at 5 o'clock in a FWD, nose heavy, 135hp sloth and then hop in your 255hp+ RWD Balanced Japenese sports car for your evening endeavors, you really come to appreciate all that the FD entails. I'm actually considering something small and RWD as a "beater" daily driver. I just can't stand FWD and the understeer when I try making all of these backroad turns coming home. Miata?

2. Drive A Domestic-

I didn't get to drive this car, but ride in it and feel it at WOT and handle on some twisties in Pennsylvania. The car was a late model (99 or so?) Mach 1 Mustang. It's a step above the GT but not quite the Cobra from what I was told. The owner paied near $40k after taxes and whatnot. It was a client of mine in Real Estate who took me in it to view a property. He gunned it a few times, etc. But what was even more dissapointing than its silly v8 powerband (it weighs 3400lbs) was the interior fit and finish! It was so, "Budget", looking. Uninspiring to say the least. The FD cockpit just screams "Lets go fast damnit, missile locked on target!". This Ford domestic was a "Special" trim model yet it was adorned with the cheapest plastic and buttons/settings you'll see in ANY ford...Not to mention you see a mustang every-freaken-day.

3. Track your car-

Blah blah blah, some say AutoX is lame, because it's not as fast as a real track and its just cone-footwork. However, the AutoX i recently attended is in front of my house, happens once a month, and costs only $25. I *AM* going to the Pocono Raceway with the car club in August of this year, however this AutoX is still a fun way to spend a sunday afternoon! What a blast it is to go WOT in 1-2nd gear and tackle weaving and tossing the car around, getting a feel for how long and hard my Victoracers can grip and how fast I can come around back to the finish line. The FD is a very fun car in (what I basically have Stock form. It looks and performs so beautifully. *Sigh*

wow why the hate? I can totally agree with how the car is a real dream, but yeah sure a car's just a car. On the other hand, the car is what you make of it also. I've spent quite a bit of my life in damn cars, after being homeless to living where i am now I lived a few months out of my old cavalier. A car can be a lot of things to different people, no need to knock how he feels about his ride. And last i checked, this was a car enthusiast board FOR the rx-7 so what's the anger for?

one last observation....rfreeman seems to be a youngster with a "bone" stock 93 and a bone to pic with others about what he claims to be a boner problem and I am seeing a trend here for the boy who cannot afford to trick out his car.........he must be frustrated and needs to get thru his "little" problems.........bonehead

HAHAHAHHAHAHHA

thats hilarious, try stopping in the single turbo discussion forums to see his twin turbo, 9 second terror.

as for this list.

1) yea, miatas are definitely guy cars. did i say guy? i meant gay.

2) Mustangs call there ugly interior "stripped down" or something supposively to make it seem like its all about the driving experience. The only nice mustang interior ive seen is my moms '05 mustang interior with the interior upgrade package.

3) Hell do anyhting with any car and youll appreciate it...until it breaks, then youll hate it....then fix it and appreciate it again.
