I use 4-6 ozs per tank of Exxon/Esso 2 stroke oil. The Exxon/Esso brand meets all SAE standards (including the latest ones) and it is supposed to be ashless. There is no other 2 stroke oil that can make a better claim. And the Exxon/Esso sells for a fraction of the cost that the speciality brands do.

I dont have the omp so i what should i do for a premix? 4oz of MMO and 4oz 2 stroke or?

I've done quite a lot of reading and started thread on the other forum about this when I ditched my OMP.

Pettit says to run 100:1 if you dont have a OMP and run the engine real hard. Well there is 128oz in a gallon and we have a 20 gallon tank. When I fill up I usually get about 16 gallons in there which is 2,048 oz. divided by 100 means for 16 gallons you need 20oz of premix. I dont use quite that much though, I use a 16oz bottle for a tank.

Also, I really like the 2stroke Mobile syn BUT that **** is expensive if you go thru a tank a week. It was almost $5 for a 16oz bottle!!! I've been using the MMO and it seems ok too, I can get a 32oz bottle for like $3 so thats only $1.5 a tank......which is much better than $5 haha Hopefully my engine likes MMO

There are 128 Ounces in a Gallon

if you put in your tank 16 gallons

16x128 = 2048

to get a 100:1 ratio you need 20 1/2 ounces of premix.

neoamd is right on. That is a lot of farking premix.

I just bought 2 cases of Amsoil Racing synthetic 2 cycle oil. It comes in handy 8 OZ containers.

I put in about 10 gallons per fill up. I only use 8 oz. of oil though. I read on Amsoil's website that you can mix less of their oil and still be o.k. due to its superior lubricating properties.

I want my OMP back!

apparently the 100:1 ratio is only needed for race use, if you're just daily driving you can go with much less premix.

OK I may be crazy but every few tanks I add some trans fluid in with my gas. Why not I mean people use trans fluid to free up the seals on old rotary motors so why not add it to the gas and let it work all the time. Let me know if this is a bad thing to be doing.
