haha i also have been experiencing these problems. Any new updates on how to fix it? Would the problem be fixed by changing the alternator?

yeh it is the relay pack in the black cpu box near to fuse box on a north american FD If your car is a RHD FD it is located on the right of the steering column mounted horizontal. just buy a used one and replace it. you need to match up the box number fd001 ect

Hi i just purchased a 93 RHD FD3S and i am getting the same problem. I tried locating the relay but i think the past owner removed it. Is it right above the fuse box on the same board? Its labeled f100 on my box. I also tried to find a new or used one and i failed. It troubles me because i should be able to locate this part on the internet but i am hitting dead ends everywhere. |

This is driving me crazy. I took it to a shop and they wanted to change all the relays in the car until it fixed it. this sucks
lol the old, "throw money at it till it goes away" aproach to mechanics.. i would find a new shop. |
Same problem here. CPU 2/ FD 100, they are hard to come by. I got one off Ebay after dealership quoted me $200 plus for the unit.

Correction to my last post, CPU 2/ FD 001 is the NA relay. If u have RHD you need F100(1992) or F110 (1993+) relay which is universal with 1992/93. I tracked one down from the UK on following forum:
http://mazdarotaryclub.com/forums - they are running for about 25 pounds/ $36 - $40 plus shipping https://i217.photobucket.com/albums/...s/DSCF0618.jpg Both the FD01 (NA) and F110 look identical, but F100/ F110 have 10 pin slot versus 20 pin FD01. I found out the hard way and order FD01 and pulled out F100 and was pissed. So if any NA (North America) FD need a CPU 2, I have 1 with mounting bracket and three other relays attached for sale if anyone is looking.
