Hello all,
I am new to no pistons. I have a problem with the wifes car. Fromt eh moment that we start it up the seatbelt light will flash at 1 sec. intervals and not stop until we shut the car off. With that when we try to roll down either the passenger or drivers side window it will only go down with the flashing light i.e. in 1 sec intervals. Anyone have any clue as to what this would be? It just started out of the blue. I sincerely appreciate any help. This is on a 1993 FD in japan. thank you https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif |
have you checked the amperage coming from the alternator? if a single light is affecting the power to the window, my guess is not enough power. also, there i a plug at the bottom of the seat that you can disconnect to make the flashing go away

isnt htat fairly low? my pfc reads 14.1V when i have a lot of things running in the car
|
also try to measure the amperage you can have more than 12v, but if you're only producing so many amps things wont work right.
i had a messed up alternator that was producing 14.7-15.9V but it wasnt making enough amps to let my fuel pumps work correctly, and my lights were fluctuating |

I run 13.7-13.9 constantly, the voltage output is a function of the regulator and I think, under normal circumstances, normal is 13.5-14V at idle.
our alternators have internal regulators |
I just started recieving the flashing seat belt light this week as well. If the seat belt isnt plugged in it beeps as well. No other problems. If anyone has an answer I would like to know as well.

This is driving me crazy. I took it to a shop and they wanted to change all the relays in the car until it fixed it. this sucks
