ok i know this might sound dumb, but what editions of rx7s are there and what do they mean, like R2 and gxl and stuff.. sorry if this is a stupid question

What about all the others like the Bathhurst Type R, Type RZ, Spirit R, Type RS, etc.???

Those are the Japanese models and others in forign countries. In the US we have for the 1993+ are the touring, R1 ( thats what I have), R2, and base model.

The Spirit R is gonna be the last of the RX-7 ever made. Instead of a stock 255HP it comes with a 280HP motor. I think I am right but correct me if I am wrong.

AFAIK, it's still gonna be 255 (in english terms)... 280 is what they rate it overseas
