my 86 na FC has been sitting for almost 2 weeks, wihout much gas, much coolant, or a battery. I got gas and finally got a battery After unflooding it using the egi comp method...I got it started....and after the initial smoke and sounds....it was perfect! I took it out, and on acceleration...there was what sounded liek a chirp....but later was found to me more of a knock. I know its not a belt...what else could it be...? common among NA's? I dunno, any input is good...thatnks!

 

No one can help?at all? argh...

 

Could be a lot of things, do you have any idea where the sound is coming from, and does it happen every time you accelerate, or only when you floor it?

 

When i accelerate....at higher RPMs its smooth...its coming from the passenger side....toward the back...so...yeah..as soon as i really lay into the gas, it starts....so, thanks for the advice
