I have a 87 GXL (S4). When you look at the fuse box near the strut tower and are reading it from top to bottom, meaning engine side to quarterpanel side it reads in this order:



EGI Comp 30A

EGI INJ 40A

Head 30A

Main 80A

Blank slot

BTN 60A

Retractor 30A



Maybe this will help you verify if yours is correct or not.

Yep...green 40amp, and the pattern is the same as gazellis.....



I didn't think i changed it, but i cant remember after workin on the car for two years now! this is just odd...i swear to you all the car RUNS w/out the fuse...

once cars get to a certain age you find that over the years people have done some really retarded things to them. Someone probably jumped off something somewhere at some point and bypassed the fuse. For a while my car ran with the key out and the turbo timer off, at some point someone switched a 12V keyed to a constant 12. The dash and everythign would shut off but hte car would still be running, i had to pull the ground off my battery every night so that i wouldn't drain the battery because the ecu and fuel system would stay powered all the time. All that is fixed now, but i had to dig for it.
