I need to know how to wire the 5th and 6th ports open? and what are the benefits ?

Thanks for the help

If you do wire them open, and the actuators are still good I want them.

Its not a mod, and there are no benefits. There are only downsides. I dont see why the hell people do it in the first place.

I have a set, they have some surface rust, but they work. E-mail me at pazuzubradshaw@hotmail.com and I'll ship them out to you.

I removed my 6-ports altogether because the sleeves were frozen. I removed them, cleaned ALL of the crap off of them, repalced them, they worked for about 12 hours, then froze again. So, they be gone https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

because i'm too lazy to troubleshoot the ACV system and see why its not working.

Wiring them open makes the car horrible below 3000 rpm. It bucks like a bronco and is a pain in the ass in traffic. The ONLY advantage is that the engine bay is less cluttered

I found that the low end lost by the open ports was mostly counteracted by the low-end gain from gutting the cats...

I have pretty normal drivability at low RPM, UNLESS I'm going uphill, then the lack or tourque is very noticable.

I can't stand the wired open anymore.. car doesn't move until like 6k

so it takes away what low end power i have that sucks

Yes and even more when you have an aftermarket exhaust. it makes the car horrible under 4~5krpms. All the kids that think it will give you any more power than cleaning them have been eating too many rotten twinkies. :-]

I can't see how a clean sleeve can seize again I cleaned mine and they still work perfectly after almost a year so obviously you have some other problem that needs to be fixed.

Because it's not just the sleeve, it's also the port inside the block. The sleeve (the removable part) was clean, but there is still crap in the port, and it's just too tight of a fit.

And I would not claim it gives any more power, but it's a better option to open them if they don't work than to leave them closed if they don't work https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/rolleyes.gif
