I swapped out my carpet today, I have had this black carpet down in my basement for the last 5 years or so, maybe more?

I did not remove the dash. All in all I think the carpet can be swapped JUST FINE without taking the dash out.

I have my gauges in the dash, a bunch of stereo and amp wiring, aftermarket ECU is all under there, I just did not want to

bother. I was also afraid of plastics breaking.

So a simple slit with the razor knife to remove a inch or so of material from the console forward and a little

tuck here and there and I think it came out pretty good.

I think one could do this job in under a hour. I took longer because I had to re-route all my stereo wiring.

Since going turbo swap and relocating the battery my system was making alot of noise from running along side the 0 gauge

battery cable.

I have super lush black mats on order from Jason S, my seat brackets will be here this week so I can bolt my black leather/ black and red perforated microfiber mazdaspeed seats in, I also ordered black/red stichted shift, e-brake, and center console lid leathers from Redline.

My camera fogged up a bit coming out of the AC office and into my hot shop.

This is my winter project:

88 FC shell + Full Tamon wide body kit.

Like this pic, cept with different hood(tamon) and black.

What I can't decide on is the motor, I have a cosmo 13b-rew and another T51r kai sitting spare, but I kinda like the idea of a short 3 rotor pp, or a 4 rotor pp for this car with a Gt46 sequential transmission.

I have a set of rpf01's but thinking to dated?

Body kit comes end of september so I have to get the drivetrain underway.. Hmm..

I can see your winter project turning into a few winters!

I work fast!.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/BURNOUT.gif

I am hoping for it to slow down this winter so I can spend a month or so in the shop. I think I am going to outsource about 50% of the body work as I hate it so damn much. While its out getting prepped and painted , i can knock off the drivetrain build I hope.

lets not have too slow a winter- need to keep the cash flowing man

The problem is I have to much work, and I work way to much. So I buy all this trick **** for my car, it either gets lost or broken as it gets moved around over a year waiting for me to do something with it. A nice month off to assemble something would be kickass..

I have a garage addition to build before winter hits as well. My garage is like a phonebooth right now..

rpf 01's might be old but they still look good.

tough call on the motors, we're headed toward 4 rotor PP, we're roadracing though. so turbo anything is kind of out

got my mats, shift & ebrake boots in, along with the taller center console lid cover.

Going to take it out for a test ride now, its sunny and about 72 degrees out- perfect!
