An n/a AUTO starter will work. You must swap the motor itself not the case its in.. I'm not sure about a 5 speed unit; I have no experience there..

All 5sp NA starters work on all other 5sp NA cars.

All automatic NA starters work on other automatics, as well as turbo II's.

Turbo II starters can work on automatics, although they are not as strong, and may not turn it as quick as it should be at startup (torque converter requires more power to turn, thus a stronger starter motor comes on the automatic).

Correct Redwood, the NA 5speed is tiny compared to a TII or auto. And different mount offsets.

Yea I swapped the n/a auto starter motor into my t2 starter case, and its starts real easy. Its much larger.

Perfect. That's what I was getting at. I'll have to keep that in mind. Thanks.
