Dude...its your factory alarm...You lock your doors, it beeps, when you close them, it should flicker a few times, then flicker every 30 seconds or so...
well i figured that much out but, what does it do to protect the car does it kill the engine when broken into or what?
it will make the horn go off and the light flicker
COOL!!!! But how do i see if its working properly? Is there anyway in which i can do without breaking into my car?
it wil kill the ignition and stop the car from being stolen by hot wiring it.
Dude thats so ****** sick!! free alarm!!!!
open the passenger door and pull the hood release latch on the driver's side...that's how I figured out I had one and it was still working.

How will I know if its working when i do that will it beep or honk the horn or something? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

lock the passenger door then lock the drivers door with the interior "knob" you should hear a beep and the security light should come on. If not its not working right. ONce the car is locked up and all doors closed the security light will blink a few times and then slow down to flashing once every 15 seconds or so. If you want to set it off start messing with the doors, hood, or hatch. To disarm it unlock the door with the key.

i had to put a new door on my car. i had to gute the old door and put all the **** in the new door. now the alarm does not work. y. where is the sensors for the alarm
If you want, you could also just lock the door on the inside and sit in the seat, and after it activates you just try starting the car.
