I was out playing around last night adn when I took my friend back to his house I found a coolant leak. The leak is coming from somewhere on the drivers side of the engine bay. I think it's the heater hose on that side but I can't see it leaking from the hose. The only other thing on that side that could leak is the drain plug. Has anyone ever had thier drain plug leak? The leak is getting on my crossmember, motor mount, and on the upper lip of my oil pan(only on the drivers side). My shop manual shows only the heater hose and drain plug on that side. After these I go staight to fucked up rotor housing and side housing. If these were bad would they leak coolant externally? Please help me. I'm really afraid that my motor is going bad. BTW I haven't felt any power loss yet.

Possibly the throttle body coolant line? Is that what your getting at? Or are you getting at that my motor is toast?

I bet its the coolant from the heater core. Its the one on the firewall, right in the center.

I checked that one but I can't see anything leaking from it. I look at it a little harder in the morning.

I see. I thought you might have known something that I didn't. Meaning you have had a leak similar to this. Since it is a nice sunny 70 degree day here in west Texas I'll get to work on it soon, so if you have any other ideas let me know. Thanks.

any updates?

It's possible that an O ring between housings would leak coolant.

the plug on the intermediate housing can leak if it's loose obviously.

It's possible the coolant hose for the BACV is leaking.

It's possible the heater hose is leaking

I think the heater hose is the most notorious for causing leaks.

No updates yet. I'll get on it soon.
