Widest Tires On Stock Tii Mesh Rims?
#1
How wide can I go beyond the stock 205's on stock Mesh Wheels with NO BULGING?
What SERIES Size Tire if I go, say 215? or 225?
Also, does going with a Lower Series tire LOWER the car? I DON'T want the car any lower, as I already scrape my exhausts with the stock shocks/springs.

Im running 225's on my car. Its a 1989 T2.
Also, the series of a tire is all relative to the width of said tire. Its actually just the height of the sidewall given as a percentage of the tires width. If you have 225/50, your sidewall height would be 112.5mm, or 4.4 inches.
Given that its all relative to the tire, if you went from a skinny tire to a wide tire, and also went from a high series to a low, it could still be possible to have an overall "taller" tire than you did before.
Heres a neat link Ive kept bookmarked for stuff like this. Just put in your tire size now, and the tire size youre going to and it will tell you if the tire will be taller or shorter.
It will also tell you how much your speedometer will be off by

Oh, yeah... almost forgot - does your tires bulge much with 225's? Any noticeable difference in handling due to the wider tire?
Thanks in advance!
Thanks in advance!
As for an increase in handling; Yes there was one, but I cant really say how much of it had to do with the increase in size. The tires up front before were some VERY cheap Pep-Boys specials. They were dryrotted and couldnt take an easy turn at 30mph without squealing to high hell.
